Family Foot & Ankle Specialists has been a Blue Orchid Marketing client since September 2007. We are a four doctor, two office practice in Central New Jersey. We provide all types of services for the foot and ankle. We have a physical therapy center on site. We pay special attention to our patients’ needs by developing relationships with them. We then understand their needs and provide a multitude of services on site to get them better quickly. Besides physical therapy, we have new modalities such as a laser for pain management as well as a laser for nail fungus, cryotherapy, a shoe store and a variety of over-the-counter devices to get them back to their activities.
We decided to automate our marketing nearly three years ago. We found that the least expensive form of marketing is relationship marketing. Patients today need to be educated and are surfing the web for information. We know that if you continue to educate your patients as well as to let them know what is going on in your office, there is an increased likelihood that they will think of you first when they have a problem.
Blue Orchid Marketing has made this kind of relationship marketing easy for me. It allows me to set up different campaigns for different problems. This way the patient feels that you are talking to them versus sending out a generic marketing piece.
I do an ad, or write a book or any other marketing piece and then Blue Orchid sends it out. For example, my monthly newsletter goes out to about 4,000 patients via email. Blue Orchid manages this for me and sends it out. So, at 9 PM on a Sunday, while I am watching TV, 4,000 emails are going out without me doing anything.
Second, they follow up. Blue Orchid will start my 18 step campaigns targeted for different problems like heel pain, bunions and ankle fractures. Then the system keeps track of when it’s time to send Step 2, Step 3, etc. on an individual basis. I also use Blue Orchid for recalling my patients which keeps my appointment book full all the time.
Blue Orchid Marketing has helped to make it possible for me to achieve my goals. I’m now in a position to look ahead to continual growth, adding more campaigns, developing a nutritional program, and opening other office locations. They’re the best!
My advice to others who have not yet automated is this: Don’t hesitate. Spend your time with the patients. Develop the relationships with them and let Blue Orchid do the work by maintaining your data base and communicating to your patients. It is the best investment I have ever made.
