OUR LATEST STORIES & NEWS

Facebook

With well over 2 billion monthly active users around the world, Facebook has undoubtedly become the leading social platform. And that’s why the vast majority of brands can’t afford to disregard the new Facebook rules for 2021 as part of their social media marketing. And, as Facebook transforms, creators and users everywhere are wise to consider pausing what they are doing and consider ways their workflows and experiences are bound to shift.

New Facebook Rules to Follow

Facebook: The Redesign: The primary change is that the design places more emphasis on Events and Groups, which are the two biggest reasons people visit Facebook daily. As you plan your strategy around Facebook, it’s crucial that you understand the ways the platform has once again changed how your content will be utilized by users.

Facebook Ads:  While Facebook once punished ads with higher quantities of image text in delivery and auctions, as of September 7, 2020, they began eliminating that enforcement and replaced them which means they will no longer penalize ads.

Hashtag Usage: While many creators will avoid adding hashtags to Facebook posts, the platform is executing suggested tag listings within the post originator. By September of 2020, the test had only extended to a precise audience, as not all users can view the new listings. But this could be a great way to expand your conversation.

Imagery Ownership: Facebook publicized in late 2020 that certain partners can declare ownership over their images, and then control their usage across Facebook’s various platforms. This could affect re-posted content on Instagram and Facebook in a variety of ways. The existing options that the owner of an image has when it recognizes unauthorized usage are to let it stay up, demand that it be taken down, or use a territorial block that will make it invisible in certain countries.

Business Suite: This platform will help users:

  • Save time: Post to Instagram and Facebook at the same time and manage posts in one place.
  • Stay current: Get all your Instagram and Facebook alerts, messages, and notifications, in one place so you can stay current and respond to your customers more easily.
  • Achieve business results: See what is working with Instagram and Facebook insights to determine what your customers are searching.

As this tool is introduced, keep in mind that Facebook plans to make Business Suite the main user interface for businesses of all sizes who use Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
