On the other hand, a newsletter, usually issued less frequently than blogs – perhaps monthly – has more substantial content in various forms like:

Make Sure your Email Gets Opened

Here’s the tricky part – you’ve created and sent an informative e-newsletter but how can you gauge whether recipients will open it?

Make sure that the sender name is real. If your patients know you best by your name rather than the name of your practice, show your name as the sender. This probably won’t work if you have multiple partners in your practice as the “from” line will be too long.

Above all, create a catchy subject line that pulls readers in. Avoid “July 2016 Newsletter” as readers in a hurry might just decide that they can pass up on this one. Choose something more intriguing that pertains to your subject matter like “Summer Foot Care Tips for Beach Fun” or “Can We Save Social Security Funds from Depletion?”

Get More Bang for your Buck

Remember to share your newsletters and blogs via social media like Facebook and Twitter. You’ll be cost-effectively reusing a crafted piece in multiple ways as well as reaching more readers who will share with others.

You may decide to create a hard copy of your newsletter to have available in your office and also to mail to your customers.
